The Engineer-turned-politician is the second (2nd) female ever to be elected into the office of the Senator for the FCT, and she is one of three women who were elected into the 10th Nigerian Senate.

The Senatorial seat is the highest elective office in the FCT and the senator works closely with the Minister of FCT to represent the people and also take care of the FCT infrastructure.
